Gardner - D-Ceptor Hooks - barbed size 8
D-Ceptor Hooks Product Code: DH4 - DHB8 £3.50 Developed specifically for use with D Rigs or monofilament, fluorocarbon and stiff hooklink materials, the D-Ceptor hook is made from super sharp forged Carbon Steel for supreme strength. Its ultra sharp point is honed to perfection. The non-reversed bend and out turned eye ensures that this hook can be used with complete confidence when tied with either the No-knot or Dumhoff knot with stiff and mono hooklinks as the hooklink isn't flattened or strained by forcing it over an eye at an acute angle. Stronger and sharper than other hooks of this kind, the D-Ceptor is now the No.1 choice for Chod and Stiff links. Available in Sizes 4, 6 and 8 in Barbed and Sizes 6 and 8 in Barbless.
"D-Ceptor Hooks are strong, seriously sharp and totally reliable. The out-turned eye and straight point ensures a solid hook hold making the D-Ceptor the only hook I need for all my pop-up and chod rig fishing." Rick Golder
All Gardner hooks are manufactured in Japan to our exact specification. The different patterns are the result of hundreds of hours of design and testing. Crucial variations such as wire diameter, angle of attack and point deflection, eye angle and degree of forging are carefully manipulated in controlled conditions to achieve the very best hooking percentages, holding power and reliability. New patterns then undergo extensive field testing by our team of top anglers for many months on different types of waters; any tweaks and adjustments are incorporated into the final pattern before approval. Gardner hooks undergo a 2 stage tempering process. In the first stage the hooks are heated up to a very high temperature for a short time and then quickly cooled. The second process is much longer and at a much lower temperature. The combination of these two processes ensure that the steel is first purified and the molecular structure is transformed into the perfect state between being too brittle or too soft. Not surprisingly, the exact details are jealously guarded but have a proven track record. The chemical sharpening process guarantees our legendary sharpness together with a point of high Carbon Steel that resists damage against gravel or bone.
